FUTURE LAB[S] GLOW OCEAN

An Immersive Community Installation in the Heart of North Adams
Third installment of the Glow Series

Future Lab(s) Gallery transforms entirely into a luminous deep-sea world — every wall, surface, and corner glowing with bioluminescent creatures, neon coral, jellyfish, and deep-sea life under black light. Conceived and produced by artist Sonia Domkarova, Glow Ocean is the third installment in Future Lab(s)’ celebrated Glow series, following the success of last year’s Glow Forest.
The installation is the result of months of collaborative creation involving Future Lab(s) members, local artists, children from the 21st Century After School Program at Colegrove Park Elementary School, and seniors from the North Adams Senior Center — over 75 community members of all ages and backgrounds.
“This is art you help make — and then step inside. Glow Ocean belongs to everyone who painted it.”

Future Lab(s) is an artist-run, community-based gallery that welcomes the public to the historic,
cultural district in North Adams, Massachusetts.
