ABOUT
Misa Chappell is a self-taught visionary artist based in the Berkshires. Her work is an intuitive and personal exploration of mother nature and the feminine divine. Misa works with a variety of media, especially natural and found materials such as wood, stone, vintage goods, and slate. Influences include the Virgin of Guadalupe, female Surrealists, Viennese secessionists, and illuminated manuscripts.
Misa grew up in Amherst, MA, and earned an art history degree from Columbia University in 1990. She studied herbalism at the Blazing Star Herb School in 2020, and now runs Three Feather Fine Arts, a consulting, commission, and curating enterprise.
Misa lives with her husband, cats, and chickens on Three Feather Farm, Florida Mountain, MA
